Race main bearing shells for all EA888 TSI Gen.1 & Gen.2 engines as installed in the Golf 6 GTI and many more.These bearing shells for the crankshaft have been developed to withstand higher engine power.Longer engine life thanks to special coatings. The multiple coating improves heat transfer and maximises adhesion between the bearings.The bearing shells are constructed as follows: Lead, tin, copper coating Nickel coating Copper lead coating hardened steel back Further advantages: High strength despite reduced thickness. Improved oil film due to the improved oil bore. Enlarged ID chamfers on the bearing edges. Not suitable for the third generation EA888 (MQB).
