These bearing shells for the main bearings or the crankshaft were specially developed to withstand higher engine power. Longer engine life and less wear due to special coatings. Multiple coatings also improve heat transfer and maximize adhesion between bearings.The bearing shells are constructed as follows: Lead, tin, copper plating Nickel plating Copper Lead coating hardened steel backing Other advantages: High strength despite reduced thickness.
