BILLET crankshaft gear RACE for 1.8T and 16V engines Optimum connection to the crankshaft - with the BILLET gearwheel from BAR-TEK! Milled from the solid and super stable. Suitable for all 1.8T 20V and 1.8L & 2.0L 16V engines.One of the biggest weak points in VW & Audi engines is the screw connection of the timing belt drive wheel to the crankshaft. The original gearwheels quickly become loose, especially in higher-performance engines, causing the guide groove on the crankshaft to shear off. The problem is caused on the one hand by the material of the standard gear and on the other by the excessive tolerances. The 1.8T crankshaft gear offers the perfect solution. It is milled from a solid steel block and galvanised. This makes it very stable and safe from corrosion. So you'll never have problems with worn wheels again! Features: Milled from a solid block (billet) Press-fit (heated before assembly) Galvanised (against corrosion) Includes 4 new wheels screws Attention: if you need the wheel for the 16V please choose the AEB version. Together with ourARP main boltand thefriction disc, maximum durability is achieved! Installation tips:Heat the billet wheel on a hotplate and then pre-install it together with the friction disc and an original screw.Then remove the original screw and fit our ARP main bolt.This ensures a perfect hold of the wheel.
