CNC machined 1.8T 20V cylinder head from BAR-TEK® We have invested a lot of time and effort in the CNC machining of our big port cylinder heads. Countless cylinder heads were cut up and tested on the flow bench and later on the engine test bench to achieve the optimum result. Cylinder head machining is not just cylinder head machining: the more effort and research is put in, the better the result. Regardless of whether the channels are produced on CNC or by hand. AGU or AEB Why special cleaning of the oil ducts?It has been shown that in many 1.8T cylinder heads the thin oil channel, which is responsible for the oil lubrication of the camshafts, was either narrowed or even clogged by carbon deposits to such an extent that a sufficient oil supply was no longer guaranteed. During the machining process, the cylinder heads not only undergo a simple cleaning in an ultrasonic bath. All oil channels are also opened and completely cleaned using a special process. Only after the oil ducts have been successfully cleaned do we move on to the complex CNC processing of the intake and exhaust ducts.What else is needed?We need your "naked" cylinder head. However, we can also install the appropriate valves, valve springs and camshafts directly on request.We recommend at least replacing the exhaust valves with our Nimonic or Ferrea, as the standard valves are very susceptible to higher temperatures and boost pressures.We also accept used cylinder heads in trade.However, they must be big port heads (such as e. g. AGU or AEB engine).There must be no previous damage to the heads due to torn valves etc..(We successfully drive this 1.8T CNC cylinder head in our 1.8T test Golf on the 1/4 mile)
