These bearing shells for the main bearings and the crankshaft have been specially developed to withstand higher engine performance. Longer engine service life and less wear thanks to special coatings. The multiple coating also improves heat transfer and maximises adhesion between the bearings.The bearing shells are constructed as follows: Lead, tin, copper coating Nickel Coating Copper lead coating hardened steel back Further advantages: High strength despite reduced thickness. The oil bore guarantees a constant oil film. Enlarged ID chamfers on the bearing edges.
