Tool for measuring the piston ring thrust play This tool allows you to insert the piston rings perfectly straight into the cylinder to measure the piston ring thrust clearance. It is often underestimated, but the piston ring thrust match must always be adjusted, otherwise wedging of the piston rings, and this leads to the capital engine damage. We recommend to always measure the piston ring thrust clearance and to grind it to the appropriate size with our piston ring arrows. features: Easy insertion of the rings High compatibility user-friendly This tool is only applicable in the following holes: 82.00mm / 82.50mm / 83.00mm Application: Slightly insert the piston ring into the cylinder bore and press it with our special tool, so that the ring then sits flat in the running surface. Now use a feeler gauge to measure the dimensions between the piston ring ends and grind them. This process is repeated until the desired level is reached.
