Universal, water-cooled intercooler BAR-TEK®

Water-cooled intercooler, ideal for confined spaces and short air paths. There are situations in which a intercooler, which is cooled by the airstream, simply cannot be installed. This is very often the case with rear engines, for example. Similarly, a particularly short air duct is advantageous in certain applications where the air path through the front of the vehicle is simply too long. For these cases, we offer you water-cooled intercooler. The coolers are installed in a water circuit with a small water cooler, which then sits in the airstream and cools the water, which flows through the fins of the intercooler and in turn cools the charge air. Water cooling lowers the charge air by more than 30°C compared to conventional charge air coolers. This results in an increase in performance of 10% with the same boost pressure. The response behaviour is more aggressive as the charge air paths are short.
