VW T6 & 6.1 2.0 TDI upgrade intercooler Wagner Tuning

The 2.0 TDI engine is equipped with a water/air charge air cooling system. The charge air is cooled by a water-cooled intercooler. The water, in turn, is cooled by a radiator in the front. Even after over 10 years of production and the model change to the T6, VW has not managed to get the thermal problems under control. The Wagner high-performance intercooler impresses with a new type of performance mesh that has been specially developed for the demanding requirements of the VW engine. With 106% more external mesh volume compared to the original cooler, it sets new standards. The perfect ratio between the inner and outer cooling surface maximises heat transfer while ensuring optimum internal airflow. The cast aluminium end boxes have been optimised using CAD design and CFD simulations to achieve excellent cooling properties with minimal back pressure.
